  1. Clean your head of broccoli and cut it into even chunks. Soak the broccoli in water for 5 to 10 minutes. Then, place it on a cutting board. Using a kitchen knife, cut the broccoli. Remove the florets from the stem, chopping them into even, bite-sized pieces.[1]
