- Open the Settings menu. It's the icon that resembles a gear in the upper-right corner of the Playstation 5 Home screen. Use the controller to navigate to the Settings icon and press the "X" button to open the Settings menu.
- Before you can begin streaming from your Playstation 5, you need to link your streaming service account to your Playstation 5. Playstation 5 allows you to stream to Twitch or YouTube. You'll need to create an account for one or both of those services before you can stream from your Playstation 5. Both services are free to sign up for.
- Select . It's the fourth option in the Settings menu. Highlight this option and press "X" to select it.
- Select . It's in the Users and Accounts menu. This menu allows you to link your Playstation account to other services, including Streaming Services.
- Alternatively, you can load a game you want to stream and press the Create button on your DualSenese controller. Then select the Broadcast icon. Select the service you want to link your Playstation 5 to.

- Twitch: Use a smartphone that you are signed in to the Twitch app on to scan the QR code on-screen. Alternatively, you can go to https://www.twitch.tv/activate in a web browser and log in to your Twitch account. Then enter the code displayed on your TV screen and click Activate.
- YouTube: When you select YouTube, the Playstation 5 web browser will open a webpage that allows you to log in to your Google account. Log in with the email address and password for the Google Account that you use for your YouTube account.
- Select . Once your account is linked, a confirmation screen will be displayed. Select Done to acknowledge and go back to the Settings menu. Your account is now linked and you are ready to stream from your Playstation 5.

- Load a game you want to stream from. You can stream from any game on your PS5. Simply select the game icon on the Home screen to launch the game.
- Press the button. It's the oval-shaped button to the left of the touchpad in the center of the DualSense controller. Press this button to open the Creative menu.
- Select the "Broadcast" icon. It's the icon that resembles a radio antenna with waves broadcasting from the top. This opens the "Broadcast" menu.
- Select or . Select the service you want to stream to.
- Enter a name for the stream. Use the text field at the bottom of the menu to enter a title for your stream. Pick something that is descriptive of what your streaming and what you are doing during your stream.
- Select . This starts your live stream. To stop streaming, press the Create button again, and select the Broadcast icon Then select Stop Streaming.
- If you select the icon with three dots (⋯) next to "Go Live", this displays the quick options menu. This allows you to select Broadcast Options. This displays some quick options you can adjust. These include the resolution of your video stream, whether or not to include your voice chat audio, whether or not to display your camera feed (Playstation Camera required), whether or not to display the streaming chat on-screen, whether or not to display activity (viewer activity), and select where you want the chat and activity overlay to be displayed.

- Open the Settings menu. It's the icon that resembles a gear in the upper-right corner of the Playstation 5 Home screen. Use the controller to navigate to the Settings icon and press the "X" button to open the Settings menu.
- Select . It's at the bottom of the Settings menu. This menu allows you to adjust the settings for your live stream broadcasts, video recordings, and screenshots.
- Select . It's the second option on the left in the Captures and Broadcasts Settings menu. This is where you can adjust your live stream settings.
- Select . It's the first option in the Broadcasts Settings menu. This allows you to select the resolution and frame rate for your live stream broadcasts. Your options are as follows:[2]
- 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps: This streams your gameplay in high definition (HD) graphics at 60 frames-per-second. This provides the best image quality and smoothest motion available. You should only select this option if you have a fast internet connection of 10 Mbps or more.
- 1920 x 1080 at 30 fps: This streams your gameplay in HD graphics at 30 frames-per-second. The resolution will still be good, but the motion won't look quite as smooth. Select this option if you have a slightly slower internet connection or the game you are playing doesn't play at 60 fps.
- 1280 x 720 at 60 fps: This streams your gameplay with reduced image quality at 60 frames-per-second. The image won't look quite as good, but the motion will still be very smooth. Select this option if you have an internet connection of 5 Mbps or less.
- 1280 x 72 at 30 fps: This streams your gameplay at reduced image quality at 30 frames-per-second. This produces the lowest quality stream available. Select this option only if your internet speed is less than 3 Mbps.
- Select . This is the second option in the Broadcasts Settings menu. This only has one option which is whether or not to include the audio from your voice chat. If you do not wish to include the audio from other players you are playing with online, select the toggle switch to turn this option off.
- Select . This is the third option in the Broadcasts Settings menu. This allows you to adjust the settings for your camera feed. You need a Playstation Camera in order to include a camera feed in your live streams. The Playstation Camera is sold separately. The Camera Settings menu has the following options:
- Display Camera: This option allows you to toggle the Playstation Camera on or off. If you do not wish to include your camera feed in your streams, select this option to toggle the switch to the "Off" position. If you do not see your camera feed in the upper-right corner, your camera feed is not turned on.
- Size: This allows you to set the size of your camera feed display. You can select small, medium, or large.
- Clipping Mask: This option allows you to select a shape for your camera feed. You can select a square, circle, hexagon, chroma key, or none
- Flip Horizontally: Select this option if you want to flip the image display of your camera feed horizontally. This creates a mirrored image.
- Effects: This option allows you to add a minor visual effect to your camera feed. Options include Comic, Pixilate (old video game style), scanlines (old TV style), Toy Camera (low-quality image), or Monochrome (black & white image).
- Brightness: Use the slider bar next to this option to adjust the brightness of your camera display.
- Contrast: Use the slider bar next to this option to adjust the color contrast of your camera display.
- Transparency: Use the slider bar next to this option to adjust how "see-through" you want your camera display to appear on top of your gameplay.
- Refocus on Your Face: This option is below the camera feed display on the right. Select this option to have your Playstation Camera automatically focus on your face.
- Restore Defaults: This is the second option below the camera feed display on the right. Select this option to put all options in the Camera Settings menu back to their original settings.
- Select . This option allows you to turn on and manage the location of the Chat and Activity overlays. This menu has the following options.
- Display Chat: Select this option if you want to display the chat for your live stream on your TV screen. This will take up part of your gameplay screen. If you do not wish to have this turned on, you can still view the chat on your smartphone or on a computer.
- Display Activity: Turn this option on if you want to display when you have new viewers on your screen.
- Overlay Position: This allows you to select where you want the overlay to go on your screen. You can place it in the bottom right, top right, center right, bottom left, top left, or center left.
- Select . This menu has only one option. It allows you to convert the text from your chat to speech which is spoken allowed. If you want to turn this feature on, select Convert Broadcast Chat To Speech.
